| Icons have been available at the Villa Maria Center since 1992, when Sr. Mary K. returned from the Holy Land with a small collection of Orthodox icons. Although we offer some imported works, we feature icons produced by Orthodox Monasteries within the United States. |
| Visitors are welcome to stop by the Icon Corner to browse our premier selection. Here you will find quality reproductions of classic Orthodox icons in a variety of sizes and styles. We also exhibit hand-painted ("written") pieces by regional iconographers. Reference books and brochures explaining the history and tradition of praying with icons are available, as well as a selection of note cards with descriptive text of the particular image. |
| We invite our retreat guests to select an icon to pray with during their stay. Icons can be purchased during regular business hours. For those interested in further study, we offer icon retreats during the year. |
