Icons are a form of religious
art, which comes to us from the Byzantine Churches of the Middle East.
Icons are considered to be sacraments of the special presence of the holy ones
they depict. They are made according to ancient rules handed down from
generation to generation.
Villa Maria is a designated importation center of authentic icons from Meteora, Greece. They come from the monasteries of this stark land, many of which are built on cliff faces in remote, almost inaccessible sites. We are pleased to offer such a wide selection: from small prints, suitable for personal devotion or gifts to children; to exquisite hand painted, and silver framed icons.
We welcome you to visit our icon shop. If you like, we will be happy to personally assist you with your questions, and in finding an icon suitable for your needs.
You may arrange to pray with
